On the 11th and 12th January the RWS elite squad once again made the trip to Sheffield for the City of Derby Open Meet at Ponds Forge. Alice announced in Podium Potential Squad

The RWS Swimming Club is delighted to announce that its very own swimming sensation Alice Dearing has been announced as a member in the British Swimming Podium Potential Squad along with former RWS Swimmer Rachael Kelly. On the 12th Novemeber 2013 British Swimming has announced the Podium and Podium Potential squads of athletes who will receive direct support from UK Sport through the World Class Performance Programme for 2014.

Returning From On Shore Training Camp

The RWS Elite Squad is now all back together after their On Shore Training Camp during the October Half Term 2013 which saw the squads head north with the boys heading to Sheffield and the girls to Middlesborough. Both swim camps where a big success and have achieved their goal of exposing the swimmers to next level of swimming in a different environment to that for the Royal.

The RWS Elite Performance Group set off for the hilly delights of the Derbyshire countryside to compete in the Derventio eXcel Short Course Open Meet at Matlock. However it was not the scenery that everyone was looking at, but the performances in the pool from the 10 girls and 10 boys sporting the new RWS red, white and blue kit.
