Top at Dutch National Championships

On the 19th June 2014 Niamh Hofland of the RWS Swimming Club took the short trip to Holland to attend the Dutch National Championships held in Amsterdam. Niamh's first race on Day 1 was the 400m Freestyle event, where Niamh started well by setting a new Championship Record in 4:42.00, beating the previous record by 5.3 seconds and claiming her first Gold medal of the Championships.

Royals Rule at Regional Youth Championships 2014

On the 3rd/4th May 2014, Corby International Pool was besieged with swimmers from all over the West & East Midlands competing in the Regional Youth Championships. After an unsettled month of training after the departure of our head coach, this was always going to be a tough competition for our swimmers, but all our worries seemed to be for nothing as our swimmers proved why they are the best swimmers in the region winning medal after medal in arguably the most dominate show of strength our Elite Royals have had at regionals for some years.

On the 15th June 2014, Alice Dearing, Megan Carline, Tom Derbyshire and Toby Robinson made the trip up North to the picturesque Lake Windermere in Cumbria for the Great North 5Km Open Water and a chance to qualify for the European Open Water Squad.
